Car Parks and Garages - Prices for 2023
RESIDENTIAL SPACES will be £555 from 1st January 2023
COMMERCIAL SPACES will be £1110 from 1st January 2023
GARAGES will be £730 from 1st January 2023
STORE/GARAGE will be £560 from 1st January 2023
The Board have decided not to implement today's inflation increase of 8.6% onto their parking charges as they understand that everyone is feeling the financial pinch being seen due to higher living costs, in view of this the Trustees have decided to levy just an 1% increase to help our tenants.
Payments are due again on 16th December 2022 when tenants can either pay for the full year or pay for 6 months with a second payment due on 16th June 2023.

Sian White - Taekwondo Silver Cup Winner from Looe
The Trust were delighted to sponsor Sian's travel arrangements to the World Championships in Slovenia, she came away with a Silver Medal.
Sian a Year 10 student @ Looe community academy and competed in the VIII ITF Taekwondo World Cup in Koper, Slovenia 1-9 October 2022.
There were over 1300 athletes from 52 countries competing, including Ukraine, USA, Malaysia & Japan. The standard was extremely high. And Sian had immense pride to be participating in such a prestigious event.
Sian is now ITF World Cup Vice-Champion in sparring, having won a Silver Medal in a tough category, 12-14 year old girls +60kg’s.
This was the biggest competition that Sian has attended with full opening and closing ceremonies. Sian competed in sparring (her favourite category) and patterns. She also competed for the first time in special techniques which involved breaking a board by flying side kick and front high kick. The starting qualification heights for these were 1.00m & 2.00m.
The Trustees were really pleased to be able to support this local group who arranged for local groups to play in their very own 'mini' West Looe Music Festival in Mally's shed. It sounded amazing and well done to Mark Wilson from Route2events and Gary & Zoe from the Jolly Sailor Pub for organising.

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Trust would like to express their sincere condolences to the Royal family following the death of Her Majesty The Queen, Queen Elizabeth II.
She was an inspiration to the whole nation. May she rest in peace and god bless her soul.

West Looe Playgroup
The Board are pleased to have helped the West Looe Playgroup upgrading their kitchen for their younger years age group - it really needed a huge make over and now looks amazing and will benefit all the children who attend.

New Pavilion at Looe Bowling Club - Sponsored by West Looe Town Trust
The Trust was happy to support the Looe Bowling Club based up in Hannafore with funds towards the cost of building a new pavilion at their club. This is a great facility for local people to meet and keep fit outdoors.

DESIGN A CROWN FOR THE QUEEN COMPETITION
The Trust is supporting the 'West Looe Platinum Jubilee Street Party' on Saturday 4th June 2022.
The Children are invited to design a crown before the event and application forms are available at the West Looe Town Trust Office.

On Saturday 4th June 2022 there will be a party in the Square and Harbour.
Crafts, stalls, dancing, entertainment, themed menus, BBQ, bouncy castle, singalong and design a crown for the Queen competition.

Welcome to The Revd Ben Morgan Lundie
The Trustees would like to send a warm welcome to the new Priest in Charge of the benefice of Looe and Morval.
He will be looking after St Martins and St Nicholas churches for us which is great news.
Our new priest is a Cornishman moving up to Looe from Falmouth.
Please see the attached document for details of April and Easter dates for the Churches.
Each year the Trust invite Looe Children who are looking to go into further education or university to apply for one of the Education Grants that the Charity give out.
This year we have introduced a new application form.
We would invite students to complete and return the form to us before 1st July 2022 for us to register their interest in applying for one of the grants.
The Trustees are then able to consider all applications before the start of term in September when each person will be notified of the outcome of their application by email.
